Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the basic matters — including the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Appskit (the "Company") and users, and the conditions and procedures of use — concerning the use of the Halkit app and related services provided by the Company (the "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- Service: The Halkit app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, its widgets, Control Center button, and shortcuts, this website, and all other services provided by the Company.
- User: A person who uses the Service under these Terms. The Service can be used without sign-up or sign-in.
- Health records: Records stored in Apple Health (HealthKit), and health-related values the user enters directly into the Service or reads from a photo or PDF and confirms (such as lab results).
- Subscription: A paid service, provided as an App Store auto-renewable subscription, that lets the user use the Service without ads for a set period.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment)
- The Company posts these Terms on the Service's website where users can easily find them.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. When it does, it will announce the effective date and the reason for the change on the website or in the app at least 7 days before the effective date (at least 30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
- If, when making the announcement under paragraph 2, the Company also states that users who do not object by the effective date will be deemed to have accepted the change, a user who continues to use the Service after the effective date is deemed to have accepted the amended Terms. A user who does not accept the change may stop using the Service and delete the app.
Article 4 (What the Service Provides)
The Company provides the following:
- Reading records from Apple Health, to the extent the user allows, and organizing them into aggregates, charts, and statistics
- Saving values the user enters to Apple Health
- Reading values from a photo of a measuring device's screen, or from a photo or PDF of a lab results sheet, to help with entry (some of these depend on the device)
- Recording and reviewing lab values that cannot be stored in Apple Health, within the Service
- Dashboards that combine several records to show trends, today's message, Last week in review, widgets, and an Apple Watch app
- The Daily tab and its reminders, which help the user keep up with the items they choose, and a Control Center button and shortcuts that open the entry form directly
- Share cards that turn the values the user chooses into an image to send
- Other features the Company develops and provides in the future
Article 5 (Not a Medical Service)
- The Service is a tool for organizing and displaying health records and is not a medical device. It is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention.
- The Service does not judge whether a recorded value is normal or abnormal. Reference ranges shown with lab records are values the user copied from their report, or read from a photo or PDF of it and confirmed; the Company does not verify them.
- Figures that combine several records, such as those on dashboards, are trends for reference calculated from published research, and the calculation method is shown in the app. These figures do not assess the user's health. Words and colors shown with these figures mark ranges set by the app and are not medical judgments.
- The accuracy of the values the Service shows depends on the measuring devices, the data recorded in Apple Health, and the user's input. Values read from a photo or PDF can be misread, so please compare them with the original before saving. Today's message may be chosen and worded by the model on the device, so please treat it as a reference only.
- Please consult a doctor or other healthcare professional about decisions regarding your health. In an emergency, do not rely on the Service — contact your local emergency services immediately.
Article 6 (Storage of Health Records)
- Health records are processed on the user's devices (including an Apple Watch paired with the iPhone). The Company does not send health records to its own or any third party's servers and does not use them for advertising.
- Values the user saves to Apple Health through the Service are stored in Apple Health; how they are kept, deleted, or shared from then on follows the user's Apple Health settings.
- Values that are not saved to Apple Health, such as lab records, are stored only in the Service's storage on the user's device. Because the Company holds no copy of these records, it cannot restore records lost through deleting the app, or losing or resetting the device.
- The user can change or revoke the Service's read and write permissions at any time in Apple Health settings.
- When the user creates a share card and sends it, the values on the card go to wherever the user chooses. The Company does not receive or keep that image; once sent, its storage and use are governed by the policies of the recipient.
Article 7 (Advertising)
- The Service is free. Users who have not subscribed see a banner ad at the bottom of the app screen.
- Ads are provided through a third-party advertising service (Google AdMob). The Company does not include health records in ad requests. The information the advertising service processes is described in the app's Settings and in the Privacy Policy.
- Products and services shown in ads are offered by the advertisers. Any transaction a user enters into with an advertiser through an ad is between the user and that advertiser.
Article 8 (Subscriptions and Payment)
- While subscribed, the user sees no ads. All other features — viewing records, trends, entry, and so on — are provided the same way whether or not the user subscribes. If the Company adds to or changes subscription benefits, it will say so in the app.
- Subscriptions are offered as monthly and annual auto-renewable products. Prices are shown on the app's subscription screen and on the App Store.
- Payment is charged to the user's Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The user can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on their device. After canceling, subscription benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription and is charged unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Payments and refunds follow Apple's policies. The Company does not process payments itself, so refunds must be requested from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- After reinstalling the app or changing devices, the user can recover their subscription with "Restore Subscription" in the app while signed in with the same Apple ID.
Article 9 (User Obligations)
Users must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, or attempt to derive its source code, except as permitted by applicable law
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Service, or manipulate ad delivery or subscription verification by improper means
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of the Company or any third party
Article 10 (Changes and Discontinuation)
- The Company may change all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, and will announce significant changes through app update notes or the website.
- The Service's main features run on the user's device, but some features, such as showing ads and verifying subscriptions, may be temporarily limited depending on the network connection and the status of third-party services (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and others).
- Changes to features provided by Apple, such as Apple Health or iOS, may make some features of the Service unavailable.
- The Company may end the Service for business reasons, and will give notice on the website or in the app 30 days in advance.
Article 11 (Intellectual Property)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Service and this website belong to the Company.
- Rights to the health records a user enters belong to the user.
Article 12 (Apple Standard License Agreement)
The license to use the app downloaded from the App Store is granted under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms apply together with that agreement and cover matters concerning use of the Service that it does not address.
Article 13 (Privacy)
The Company protects users' personal information in accordance with applicable law. The Service has no sign-up and does not ask for contact details such as a name or email address. Information processed by third-party services for advertising, subscriptions, app analytics, and crash diagnostics is described in the app's Settings, and further details are governed by the Privacy Policy the Company publishes separately.
Article 14 (Limitation of Liability)
- The Company is not liable when it cannot provide the Service due to causes beyond its control, such as natural disasters or outages of third-party services (Apple, Google, and others).
- The Company is not liable for disruptions to use of the Service caused by the user.
- The Company is not liable for health or medical decisions the user makes based on information shown in the Service (Article 5).
- The Company is not liable for the loss of records stored only on the device under Article 6, paragraph 3.
- Paragraphs 1 through 4 do not apply to damage caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any lawsuit arising between the Company and a user in connection with use of the Service shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
Article 16 (Contact)
For questions about the Service, please contact:
- Business name: Appskit (앱스키트)
- Email: support@tickkit.app
Addendum — These Terms take effect on September 28, 2026.
These Terms are provided in Korean and English. If the two versions differ, the Korean version prevails.
